Goddess Under the Moon

Candle burning rituals

The stroke of midnight

Incense and sage

Don’t drink the tea

It’s poisonous

Laced heavy with enchantment and sorcery

Busily casting spells

Artemis under the moon

Igniting love

In a gothic parlor

by the wild, wicked sea

Her fingers like spider silk, subtly

Wrapping you to her womb

Her tongue like a cat’s

Clever and black

She’s perfected the art of her craft

Seductive little huntress

Victorian country brat

So, watch your back

Stay in your game

Don’t fall for her delectable words

Don’t drown in her onyx eyes

Intoxicating and pretty and oh so otherworldly

or get lost in a kiss

as lovely as it may be

else she’ll entwine your limbs

around her famished soul

you’ll be forever bound to her desires

tangled in her alchemy of lust and love

a forbidden, permanent trap

cyanide of the heart
