Writing Day

When you ask me what I am wearing today,

knowing it’s a writing day,

I have to wonder where you think I am going.

I am a poet, it’s not a glamorous profession.

Most likely I’ve thrown on a pair of shorts (or jeans depending on weather)

and a t-shirt, have my hair in ponytail and am drinking cold coffee. I’m not dolling up for the keyboard and I wish the coffee would stay hot.
