Dandelion Kisses

Lavender clouds float like waves

in the 5pm sky

as we pull his motorcycle to the side

of this sleepy mountain road

to pick dandelions and stretch our legs.

We make our wishes, capturing the moment in our smartphone photographs,

stealing soft kisses between shoots. I’m in love with his mouth, his laughter,

his incredibly calming voice.

I’m in love with the open road

and the scent of him.

I don’t ever want to lose this moment

where summertime plays and beauty breaths.

So I make my wish and hope it comes true.
