Try not to be dismayed if you find her

dancing under a blazing afternoon sun.

She cares not who sees her or what they think,

she is preoccupied with feeling the wind

twisting in her rebel-dyed hair

and embracing the earth

beneath bare feet.

You see, she carries the weight of the world

on her back. To lose herself in an infintite sky

for a time is how this free-spirited girl survives.
